Eligibility

The Buddy Bonus Programme is available only to eligible Hata Malaysia individual users with verified accounts.

The Programme is not available to:

  • accounts registered under KYB (Know Your Business) verification;
  • users enrolled in, operating under, or otherwise participating in any agent, intermediary or similar programme designated by Hata as incompatible with the Buddy Bonus Programme; or
  • any user who is suspended, restricted, terminated, or otherwise determined by Hata to be ineligible.

A Buddy Bonus Code must be entered at sign-up or within 30 days from the date of account creation.

Each account may only be linked to one referral or affiliate code. Once an account has been linked, it cannot be linked again.

How the Programme Works

To qualify under the Buddy Bonus Programme, the referee must complete the following steps:

Step 1 Successfully complete KYC verification.

Step 2 Complete an eligible external deposit or in-app instant buy of supported crypto meeting the minimum qualifying threshold set out below.

Step 3 After completing Step 2, initiate a qualifying locked staking plan meeting the applicable threshold and tenure set out below.

The referee must complete the applicable qualifying actions within 90 days from the date of enrolment in the Buddy Bonus Programme.

Important Conditions

  • Internal transfers or sends between Hata users do not qualify unless otherwise stated by Hata.
  • Step 3 will only qualify if it is completed after Step 2. A stake initiated before completion of Step 2 will not count toward the Programme, even if it otherwise meets the applicable threshold.
  • A qualifying staking request will be treated as fulfilled upon the plan’s maturity, provided that the relevant stake plan has not been cancelled before then.
  • If a qualifying stake plan is cancelled before its maturitythe staking requirement will no longer be treated as fulfilled. To remain eligible for the rewards, a new qualifying stake plan must be established and maintained in accordance with these Terms.
  • Rewards are not automatically disbursed. Eligible users must claim their Reward through the Hata app or platform in accordance with Hata’s applicable procedures.
  • Rewards are subject to the Buddy Bonus Programme Terms and Conditions, including Hata’s applicable review, verification and approval requirement.

Reward Payment

Where applicable, the Reward will be paid in BTC.

The BTC equivalent of the applicable Reward is determined and locked in at the time the Reward becomes claimable, which will be after the maturity of therelevant qualifying staking request, provided that the relevant stake plan has not been cancelled before then, in accordance with Hata’s applicable pricing methodology. The amount so determined will be the amount credited upon claim.

Changes to Programme Details

The qualifying thresholds, supported crypto, staking requirements, reward amounts, claim period and other Programme-specific details set out on this page may be amended, updated or replaced by Hata from time to time.
